Today, we would like to inform you about two personnel changes within labor team. Dr. med. Thomas Weibel, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, will retire on 31.07.2024. His functions will be taken over by Dr. Marcel Zauchenberger, FAMH Clinical Chemistry.
Dr. med. Thomas Weibel would like to address a few personal words to you, dear colleagues:
"On 01.08.2024, a new chapter of my life will begin: after exactly 23 years of service in labor team, I will retire.
I look back on this period with great satisfaction, during which I had the pleasure of participating from the very beginning in the development of labor team to its current size with a wonderful team. The constructive collaboration with you, as the sender, has always been very important to me. You have also contributed to the further development of the company with your input. Thank you very much for that. In the future, I will be involved in social projects and volunteer work. I will remain connected to labor team as an advisor and occupational physician."
The management of labor team would like to express its sincere thanks to Dr. med. Thomas Weibel for the significant contributions he made in the establishment, development, and routine operation of our laboratory. He was always available to you, as a sender, and provided thousands of highly competent consultations for the benefit of your patients. Internally, Dr. Weibel has trained dozens of academics in laboratory medicine over the decades. Moreover, he was highly regarded by all employees of our institution for his friendliness, calm demeanor, dedication, hard work, and competence.
Dr. Thomas Weibel and Dr. Marcel Zauchenberger have been working successfully together for a decade, ensuring a seamless transition of functions within labor team.
We thank Dr. Thomas Weibel for his highly successful work in labor team and are pleased to have him continue on board as an advisor and occupational physician.
