Increased: Allergic diseases (extrinsic asthma, neurodermatitis, allergic rhinitis, urticaria), parasitic diseases, hyper IgE syndrome (HIOB syndrome, associated with staphylococcal infections of the skin without signs of inflammation and pneumonia), bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, IgE plasmacytoma (very rare), T-cell defects, nicotine abuse.
Note: Normal IgE levels cannot exclude atopy. The evaluation is done together with the inhalation screen SX1.
